SIBOS 2018

Alexey Zverev, Exactpro co-Founder and co-CEO, gave a talk on AI and software testing at Sibos, the annual global financial services conference, exhibition and networking event organised by SWIFT in Sydney, Australia on 22-25 October 2018.

Sibos brings financial leaders together to network, collaborate and find solutions to industry challenges. The theme for 2018 was “Enabling the digital economy”, which reflects the far-reaching transformation of banks and other financial service providers as they adjust to the realities of a digital world.

Alexey Zverev gave a talk on Artificial Intelligence, Bias and Fake Software Testing. The presentation covered how data bias and fake software testing affect the software development life cycle:

We live in the world of growing complexity. Financial market infrastructures are under pressure from technology innovations, rapid regulatory and geopolitical changes. Exactpro specializes in functional, technical and operational testing for the trading and post-trade organizations. The company was part of the London Stock Exchange Group for two and a half years. Following a management buyout in January 2018, Exactpro's focus has been shifting towards applying machine learning methods in order to improve the quality and reliability of platforms interconnected by networks and communication protocols including SWIFT.

A recent Large Scale Infrastructure Intervention and Fake Testing whitepaper by Iosif Itkin, Exactpro co-Founder and co-CEO, reviews one of the facets of the ‘fake testing’ phenomenon.
